Habs Girls is a wonderful environment for learning. Yet going out into the world brings an exciting new perspective, whether exploring the local countryside or heading on an overseas adventure.

We arrange a busy trip schedule for our Sixth Form students, further enhancing your academic and personal development. This page gives some examples of prior excursions, but you will receive full details on all trips planned in your academic year.

Day trips

Short trips can help you progress your interests and learning within a fairly local area. Wherever possible, we try to make use of our closeness to London, and all the city has to offer.

  • Chemistry – visits to a colour workshop and the Cambridge Chemistry Race
  • Classics – a tour of the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford (with Habs Boys)
  • Computing – a visit to the Amazon and Facebook offices in Central London
  • Drama – trips to the theatre in London to see Kin by Gecko Theatre, Kafka’s Metamorphosis and Punchdrunk’s The Burnt City
  • English – three events in London: the Poems of the Decade conference, an English language conference and an English grammar day

Residential trips

Many of our residential trips focus on the curriculum (such as language trips, biology field trips and visits to historical sites). Yet we also offer cultural and sporting trips too.
