At Habs Girls’ School, we are committed to nurturing musical talent. The results from the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) examinations reaffirm our students’ ambition, dedication and extraordinary musicianship, not forgetting the outstanding teaching. Last year, every single one of our students who sat an examination passed – over 100 students in total – these achievements highlight the vibrancy and excellence of our music programme.
In the Autumn Term, our students excelled across a range of instruments and grades, achieving notable results that demonstrate both breadth and depth of talent, with a high volume of distinctions across piano, cello, violin, flute and saxophone to name few. These results are a testament to the dedication of our students and the supportive environment provided by our specialist music staff. Achieving distinction in the higher grades (6 and above) is particularly noteworthy, requiring advanced technical skill.
Some key achievements were:
Tiara (8 Ansuz) achieved a distinction in Grade 1 Violin
Bela (5 JM) achieved a distinction in Grade 1 Cello
Gavriella (8 Ansuz) achieved a distinction in Grade 5 Cello
Anushka (8 Aleph) achieved a distinction in Grade 5 Alto Saxophone
Students’ achievements reflect the diversity of musical journeys at Habs Girls’ School. From the early stages of Initial and Grade 1 exams to advanced levels, we are proud to support and celebrate each student’s individual progress.
We believe that musical excellence thrives in an environment that encourages both discipline and creativity. Through our comprehensive curriculum and co-curricular opportunities, we encourage students to explore their passion for music, whether performing in ensembles, mastering solo pieces or composing their own work.
The standard of musicianship is exceptional and it is a pleasure to see our students consistently rising to the challenge and achieving such remarkable results. Congratulations to all our young musicians for their dedication and success.
