In the last week of term, our music ensembles and selected soloists from Year 5 and Year 6 performed in our final performing arts event of the year: the Junior Summer Concert. The event was a vibrant celebration of our students’ musical journey, showcasing their dedication and talent.
They presented a varied programme which took us from Mozart to Minchin, from Bach to Elton John, ably guided by our team of dedicated Visiting Music Teachers (VMT’s). Each piece was chosen to highlight the diverse skills and musical interests of our students, creating an engaging and dynamic concert experience.
All the young performers demonstrated tremendous courage and ambition throughout their preparations and performances, with some of our younger girls playing an instrument in front of an audience for the first time. The pupils showed us exactly what can be achieved with enthusiasm and hard work and we are extremely proud of everyone that participated.
