Year 6 impressed audiences this week with their magical performances in Beauty and the Beast Jr.
This production was a culmination of a huge team effort, from the Senior School pupils who choreographed and directed, to the staff who supported both in rehearsals and behind the scenes, not to mention those who lent their technical, artistic and dressmaking wizardry. That said, no one worked harder than the pupils who took the stage, who approached every rehearsal with enthusiasm, exhibiting more stamina than most of us can remember ever having and taking such pride in their work.
“We have been very fortunate to have some talented Senior School pupils choreograph some of our dances and routines. During this week, we rehearsed for our big performance and performed our production to the Junior School.” Said Anushka (6 Aleph)
“For the past two weeks, the children have been in daily rehearsals, working tirelessly, with the support of members of staff, to bring this performance to life. The rest of the school were invited to ‘Be Our Guest’ at the dress rehearsal on Tuesday, which was followed by dazzling performances to parents on Wednesday and Thursday night.” Said Ms D Lansdown – Acting Head of Junior School
All our Year 6 pupils should feel incredibly proud of what they have achieved, they put on a wonderful show!
