We are pleased to announce that we have been selected as a Finalist in the Independent School of the Year for Outstanding Educational Partnerships category.

We are proud of the work that our Partnerships team carry out to support our community. Our Partnership sessions are led by over 400 Habs students from Year 10 to Year 13 as well as support from staff. Almost 2000 partner school students have come to Habs to learn, benefiting from an average of 12 hours of sessions each. Sessions cover a broad range of curricular and co-curricular subjects, including literacy, languages, music, art, STEM, outdoor education and wellbeing initiatives.

The Partnership Programme has delivered some fantastic benefits to the students:

  • 10% improvement in school attendance amongst the disadvantaged students involved in the programme
  • 99% of Habs students involved think that the Partnership sessions have improved their communication skills
  • 95% of Habs students think that Partnerships programme has had a positive impact on improving their resilience

We have also received great feedback from our partner schools, who have reported a positive impact rating of 9.2/10.

Headteachers also have shared their thoughts:

Specialist teaching in subjects like French and outdoor education enriches our curriculum in ways we otherwise couldn’t provide.

Louise Thomas, Headteacher, Cowley Hill

Bringing learning to life, igniting new passions – our after-school clubs have huge waiting lists.

Davinia Leggett, Headteacher, Fair Field

Working in partnership with Habs has afforded our students experiences that would not have otherwise been possible. Inspiration cannot always be measured but it is definitely there!

Phillip Campbell, Associate Principal, London Academy
