Congratulations to our Class of 2025, on achieving record-breaking A* A Level results.
It has been a phenomenally exciting and successful year for Habs Girls; including an outstanding ISI inspection, two glowing Good Schools’ Guide reviews for the Junior and Senior School and welcoming His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh to commemorate the School’s 150th anniversary – demonstrating the school’s progress and academic ambition.
Today’s A Level results are the culmination of many years of exceptional dedication and hard work. Habs Girls and Habs Boys have had a record-breaking year, with both schools improving on their A Level results from last year.
- At Habs Girls 40% of all A Levels awarded were at grade A* and 77% of all A levels awarded were at grades A*-A.
- An impressive 60% of all students achieved 3 or more A* or As.
The class of 2025 is the second cohort to have been taught at least one of their A Level subjects in a co-educational class. Our co-educational classes in both the Girls’ School and Boys’ School have excelled across their academic disciplines, demonstrating the ‘best of both worlds’ for our students.
Subjects taught in the Girls’ School that achieved more than 80% of grades at A* or A include: Art, Classical Civilisation, DT, English Literature, Further Maths, History, Music, Politics and Spanish. A remarkable 89% of grades in Further Maths were awarded an A*. Similarly subjects taught in the Boys’ School that achieved more than 80% of grades at A* or A include: DT, English Literature, Computer Science, Further Maths, Geography, Philosophy, Religious Education and Spanish.
87% of our students will now go to their university destination of choice. The most popular university destinations include: Birmingham, Bristol, Durham, Edinburgh, KCL, Nottingham, Oxbridge, UCL and Warwick with a vast range of courses including Anthropology, Biological Sciences, Classics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Dentistry, Design Engineering, French and History, History of Art, Law, Mechanical Engineering and Medicine.
Habs Boys enjoyed equally impressive results. 44% of all A Levels awarded were at grade A*, once again making A* the most commonly achieved grade this year; 79% of all A Levels awarded were at grades A*-A and an impressive 65% of all Habs Boys’ students achieved 3 A* or As.
Alongside their outstanding achievements today, all our students have also completed their compulsory Habs Diploma. We launched the Habs Diploma to transcend the traditional curriculum, instilling lifelong habits in our students. From September 2025 we are pleased to announce that we have introduced the EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) into the Habs Diploma. This enables Sixth Form students to chose between the EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) or ERP (Extended Research Project) as part of their Habs Diploma.
