We are very proud to announce that Dr Kate Bridge has been elected onto the Council of the Chartered College of Teaching.
The Chartered College of Teaching is a professional membership body that celebrates and advocates the brilliant work teachers do in providing high quality education for children and young people.
As our Head of Physics and acting Head of the Habs Diploma, Dr Bridge achieved Chartered Status in the last academic year. Her place on the council is a fitting reward for her outstanding work in supporting the teaching profession.
“It is an absolute pleasure to graduate from the Chartered College and be awarded CTEACH,” Dr Bridge explained. “I really grew as a teacher throughout the experience and it will have a lifelong effect on my practice.”
As a member of the council, Dr Bridge will help to set and govern the long-term strategy for the College, giving it a strong foundation for the future. “To now serve on the council is a privilege,” Dr Bridge remarked, “I will use my position to cheerlead the profession and encourage others to have faith in themselves to go for it.’
