This year marks a significant milestone, as all three section heads – Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force, have been appointed from Habs Girls for the first time.
It is indeed the first time any section head has been appointed from Habs Girls. Amayah (12AE/NM), Jemima (12JZC/JVM) and Jessie (12MJ/JHB) have already distinguished themselves through their leadership qualities, maturity and clear sense of responsibility, both towards their peers and the junior cadets they will now help to guide. Their appointments reflect not only individual achievement but also the inclusive and evolving nature of the contingent.
This year has seen significant change within the contingent under the leadership of incoming Contingent Commander, Mr Dunlop. Throughout this period of transition, our cadet leadership team has risen magnificently to the challenge, helping to deliver an outstanding year of training, opportunities and experiences for our cadets.
We look forward to welcoming a new cohort of Year 10 cadets in September as they begin their own cadet journey and become part of the next chapter in the continued success of the Habs CCF.
We are extremely proud of our CCF programme and the values that sit at the heart of the Cadet Forces: teamwork, camaraderie, determination, resilience and self-belief. Many congratulations to all three Heads of Sections.
