As Navratri comes to a close and the preparation for Diwali commence, we have been celebrating the rich cultural traditions that make this time of year so special. From the vibrant energy of Navratri to the illuminating spirit of Diwali, our community has come together to mark these important festivals.

We hosted our annual Garba Night, joint with Habs Boys, to mark the vibrant Hindu festival of Navratri, and it was a wonderful evening filled with music, dancing and community spirit. The event began with an energetic prayer ceremony, setting a positive tone for the night. From traditional Garba dances like betaali, trantaali, dandiya and ramjanyu, to the powerful rhythms of our very own dhol ensemble, the atmosphere was amazing.
A highlight of the evening was the Aarthi ceremony performed midway through, providing a spiritual pause in the midst of the celebration. The delicious food added to the festive spirit, offering a chance for everyone to come together and share in the joy of the occasion.

This event has long been a staple in the Habs calendar, bringing together members of our community from various backgrounds. Regardless of ability, experience or faith, everyone got involved and made the night truly unforgettable. Once again, the Garba Night delivered on its promise to unite and celebrate the diverse spirit of our community!
We would like to wish everyone celebrating a Happy Diwali and a joyful New Year.
