A huge well done to our Class of 2024. Their fantastic GCSE results demonstrate their continuous hard work and commitment to life at Habs. 43% of all GCSE grades were 9s this year, 71% of grades were a 9 or 8 and 89% graded 9-7.

Habs Girls’ Headmistress, Dr Hazel Bagworth-Mann, commented: “Congratulations to our Year 11 with their incredible set of GCSE results. Thank you also to our staff who have shown such support, encouragement and care for the students. We are really looking forward to welcoming them and our new joiners to our Sixth Form in September”.

Our co-educational campus is at the heart of everything we do and Habs Boys and Habs Girls are united with a shared vision and purpose (Profound Impact strategy). As an academically ambitious school we challenge our students above and beyond any exam curriculum. We are therefore particularly proud of our students’ results today because they have not only excelled in their exams but also excel in a huge array of co-curricular and partnership commitments. It is through this broad curriculum that we develop their personal skills and attributes. By enabling students to achieve the highest academic outcomes, to grow personally, and to invest in our community, we can be sure that they will leave us fully equipped to make their own profound impact in the world.

Our schools will continue to deliver excellent single sex education up to GCSEs, while benefitting from a co-educational setting.

In the Sixth Form every student will have some co-taught A level lessons with Habs Boys. In addition to 3 or 4 A Levels, students also take the Habs Diploma. Students engage with five components in the Diploma (Elective courses, Subject Enhancement, Extended Research Project, the Visiting Speaker Programme and Community Service); preparing for life beyond school, so they leave as more interesting and interested individuals ready take their place in society. From September 2024 our Habs Diploma will be accredited.

We made these changes to help our students better prepare for life at university and to better equip students to flourish in today’s global and technologically driven workplace.
