If you are a US taxpayer, you can make your gift to Habs tax deductible by giving through the British Schools and University Foundation (BSUF). We will receive 100% of your gift.

The BSUF

BSUF is a US-based charity recognised as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organisation in US tax law. Giving in this way allow donors to claim a tax deduction on their US taxes. Something not otherwise possible when giving directly to a school or charity outside of the United States.

You can make your donation via the British Schools and Universities Foundation (BSUF), where you will find helpful information on how to donate and make sure your gift comes to us. You might also find our FAQs helpful.

You can give by check, credit card or wire transfer. BSUF can accept gifts of securities and major funds, as well as corporate matching gifts. You can also leave a bequest to Habs through BSUF, either directly through you will or by making Habs a beneficiary of an individual retirement accounts or charitable remainder trust.

Please note: For Habs to receive your gift, you must list one of the following as the ‘approved institution’ when making your gift:

  • Habs Boys’ School
  • Habs Girls’ School
  • Haberdashers’ Elstree Schools Foundation (for gifts to support either or both schools)
