We review our fees yearly and can provide means-tested fee assistance to families. In the Prep School, our fees include lunch.
Our fees are payable in full on or before the first day of term by direct debit. A full term’s notice is needed for the withdrawal of a pupil from Habs.
Tuition fees include the cost of stationery, the use of ordinary textbooks and apparatus plus personal accident and dental insurance.
Apart from registration and entrance fees, all our school fees are payable in advance by direct debit. These are made in three termly instalments due by the first day of each term.
Our tuition fees are as follows:
Year group | Per term | Per annum |
---|---|---|
Pre-Preparatory School (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2) | £7,794.00 | £22,943.00* |
Preparatory School (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6) | £9,336.00 | £26,859.00* |
Senior School (Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11) | £9,879.00 | £28,424.00 |
Sixth Form (Years 12 and 13) | £9,879.00 | £28,424.00 |
* Please note that school lunches are included with the fees for the earlier years, as marked with an asterisk.
All Year 7 to 12 will be issued with a school device. Device rental is £125 a term.
When you confirm your acceptance of a place for your child, there is an acceptance fee (a deposit) of 50% of a term’s fees. This will be returned to you when your child completes their time at Habs Boys.
Many parents choose to spread the cost of their school fees by paying monthly, via a School Fee Plan.
This independent service offers a convenient way to manage your child’s fees through regular direct debit payments. Any extras can then be added on a termly basis, such as music tuition and trips.
Our Fees In Advance scheme allows you or any family members to make lump-sum payments towards all or part of your child’s fees, including extras. Many parents, grandparents and even godparents like to contribute as part of the scheme.
The amount deposited with Habs Boys is then used to pay your child’s fees as they fall due each term, until the pre-payment is exhausted.
In return for holding the lump sum, the school will apply a discount to the advance payment of 3.50%, which approximates to a return on investment of 4.16% per year for higher-rate taxpayers. The scheme does not fix your future school fees. Yet the rate of return will be guaranteed at the time the money is received by Habs Boys, and for however long it is held.
You can find more details in the T&Cs document below, along with some worked examples. The FIA calculator provides a quotation based on your chosen termly amount.

If you subscribe to the School Fees Refund scheme, you can claim back for absences due to illness or accident. You can also claim for contact with infection, which should be for a continuous contact period of at least five days, including weekends.
If you would like to join the scheme, the current charge is 0.82% of your child’s school fees per term.
Claims must be submitted no later than 30 days after the close of the term to which they relate.
