As an academically ambitious school we challenge our students above and beyond any exam curriculum. We are therefore particularly proud of our students’ GCSE results in 2024 because they have not only excelled in their exams but also excel in a huge array of co-curricular and partnership commitments. It is through this broad curriculum that we develop their personal skills and attributes. By enabling students to achieve the highest academic outcomes, to grow personally, and to invest in our community, we can be sure that they will leave us fully equipped to make their own profound impact in the world.
Habs Boys and Habs Girls will continue to deliver excellent single sex education up to GCSEs, while benefitting from a co-educational setting. Students who move into, or join, the Sixth Form will have some co-taught A level lessons with Habs Girls. In addition to 3 or 4 A Levels, students also take the Habs Diploma. From September 2024 our Habs Diploma will be accredited. We have made these changes to help our students better prepare for life at university and to better equip students to flourish in today’s global and technologically driven workplace.
Our 2024 cohort have achieved our best GCSE results from a normal GCSE exam series in recent years. 55% of all GCSE grades were 9s, 80% of grades were a 9 or 8 and 92.3% graded 9-7. Additionally, all students in Maths, DT and Music achieved grades 9-7.
We publish the full breakdown of our 2024 GCSE results in late November, when we have received the outcome of any remarks and appeals.
