Habs hosted Wolverhampton Grammar School in the second round of the Boodles ISFA Cup on Wednesday 8th October.

In a closely contested first half, in which goalscoring chances were at a premium, excellent finishes by Josh Davis and Adam Burchell gave the 1st XI a 2-0 lead at half-time. Habs had a number of chances to extend their lead after the break with Burchell hitting the bar with a glancing header and the Wolverhampton goalkeeper making an excellent save from Eddy Mort.

The visitors scored from an excellent passing move midway through the second half and began to gain some real attacking momentum, forcing a number of corners and free-kicks. A spirited defensive display from the home side managed to keep the score at 2-1 and with the visitors pushing more men forward, a powerful run through the middle of the field by Jonny Daitz ended with a composed finish to seal a 3-1 victory.

Habs now face an away trip to Trinity School, Croydon, in the last 16 of the competition.
