Today, we celebrate the record-breaking achievements of the Class of 2026 and congratulate every student on their A Level results.
Results at a Glance
- 51% of all A Levels awarded were at grade A*
- 83% of all A levels awarded were at grades A*-A.
- An impressive 1 in 3 students achieved 3 or more A*s
- A quarter of all students achieved straight A*s
- The most common achieved grade was an A*

- 100% of Computing, Design Engineering, Music and Philosophy grades were A*-A
- 93% of Further Maths grades were A*-A
- 90% of Physics grades were A*-A
- 89% of Maths grades were A*-A
- 88% of Spanish grades were A*-A
These outcomes are the culmination of years of hard work, perseverance and intellectual ambition. They reflect not only academic achievement, but also the commitment, resilience and curiosity our students have demonstrated throughout their time at Habs.
Academic excellence remains a hallmark of a Habs education. Outstanding examination results are important and deserve to be celebrated. They reflect the dedication of our students, the support of their families and the expertise and encouragement of our staff. Yet we believe examination results tell only part of the story.
Our purpose is simple: to empower young people to make a profound impact in the world.
That purpose shapes every aspect of a Habs education. Success cannot be measured solely by grades, university destinations or career pathways. It must also be measured by the knowledge students acquire, the character they develop and the contribution they go on to make through the way they use their talents, opportunities and education.
The examination results we celebrate today are built on foundations that extend well beyond the classroom. Throughout their time at Habs, students have learned how to think independently, embrace challenge, work collaboratively, act with integrity and contribute positively to their communities.
These qualities are developed through the Habs Habits. At Habs, we believe success in the modern world depends on far more than subject knowledge alone. Young people need to navigate complexity, think critically, communicate effectively, demonstrate resilience and make thoughtful decisions. Through academic challenge, co-curricular opportunities, partnerships and service, our students develop these capabilities every day.
The Habits underpin the outstanding academic outcomes achieved by our students, but their value extends far beyond examination results. They shape how students approach challenge, respond to opportunity and contribute throughout their lives.
This commitment to combining academic excellence with character, contribution and purpose was recognised when we were named Independent School of the Year 2025. The award recognised not only educational excellence, but also the impact of our partnerships and community engagement programmes, and our belief that education should help young people improve the world around them, not simply succeed within it.

The most popular universties include: Durham, Birmingham, Imperial, KCL, Queen Mary, Edinburgh, UCL, Bath, Bristol, Cambridge, Leeds, Nottingham, Southhampton and Warwick.
Our Oxbridge students have confirmed offers across a huge variety of courses including:
Architecture, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, English Language and Literature, History and Politics, Natural Sciences, Medicine, Maths, Maths and Statistics, Music, Engineering, Modern and Medival Languages, Theology, Religion and Philosophy of Religion.
100% of our medics have secured their places at universities including Cambridge, UCL, KCL, Imperial and Queen Mary, with the most common result of 3 A*s.
The Habs Diploma
Alongside their academic achievements, students have completed the Habs Diploma, a programme designed to extend learning beyond the classroom and help develop the knowledge, skills and habits that support success throughout life.
Through leadership, service, enrichment, innovation and independent research, students are encouraged to broaden their horizons, deepen their understanding of the world around them and explore their interests in greater depth.
Students also undertake either the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) or the Extended Research Project (ERP) as part of the Diploma, further strengthening intellectual curiosity, critical thinking and independent enquiry.
We are proud not only of the results achieved today, but of the young people who have achieved them. The Class of 2026 leaves Habs with outstanding qualifications, but also with the confidence, judgement and sense of purpose to embrace opportunity, contribute positively to society and make a meaningful difference in the world around them.
