Chris Combemale, a member of our Sixth Form, has received the prestigious Morehead-Cain Scholarship and is due to study at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from August 2015.
At HABS, Chris has founded and runs a public speaking club, serves as Joblings’ House Captain and was a School Council Director. He has performed in numerous plays and Inter-House Drama competitions as well as participating regularly in the vibrant music department.
The Morehead-Cain Scholarship covers all expenses for four years of undergraduate study at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition, it features summer enrichment experiences designed to support students as they learn and grow. During the course of four summers, Chris will have an array of opportunities to partake in outdoor leadership courses, public service summers and have access to fully-funded internships.
Chris has already benefited from the strong alumni connections having been exposed to TV production and the publishing industry by the many, kind and dedicated Morehead-Cain alumni. Excited by the upcoming challenges and opportunities, Chris strongly recommends the Morehead-Cain programme to any students interested in an American university education.
