On Thursday 13th August, the Headmaster, Peter Hamilton, warmly congratulated every member of the Sixth Form on outstanding achievements in their A-level results. With 45.3% of all grades being A* and 83.1% of grades being A*-A these results are absolutely stunning. More important are the individual boys’ successes with most gaining access to their chosen university.
Once again, these terrific results at Habs are viewed against a backdrop of superb performances in sports, drama, art and music. The boys’ engagement in the School’s diverse co-curricular pursuits and extensive leadership opportunities has produced a cohort who are ready to take the next step into becoming the future leaders of our society. Of course to do this they require good examination results, which it is clear that they have achieved.
In 1915 the graduating class of West Point (USMA) became known as the ‘Class of Stars’ due to the leadership roles that they went on to hold within the world. Now, exactly 100 years on, it is clear that many of this year’s Haberdashers’ students will become future leaders within their own separate fields of expertise. Haberdashers’ has its own ‘Class of Stars’.
The School congratulates each boy on his achievements and looks forward to regularly hearing the progress that they have made after finishing their enjoyable time with us. The boys are always welcome back to visit and will always remain part of the growing Habs community.
