The final finished 3-3 in normal time with Great Britain’s goalkeeper Maddie Hinch making a string of stunning, acrobatic saves. In the following shootout, the Dutch could not beat Hinch and Great Britain ultimately won 2-0.
In January 2015, Maddie visited the School to coach our boys, paying particularly close attention to our goalkeepers, offering them vital tactical and technical advice.
The School would like to congratulate Maddie and the entire Great Britain team on their inspirational success in Rio.
