On the morning of Thursday 30 January, three Lower Sixth Further Mathematicians accompanied Mrs Harte to Radlett Preparatory School as part of the Habs Maths Outreach Programme.
Charlie, Akira and Jay, who is a former Radlett Prep Pupil (Class of 2014), spent the morning working with Year 5 students, leading them through activities based on mathematical topics the pupils had recently studied. The students were led through various group tasks in a fun and imaginative way, developed by Mrs Harte.
Jay commented: “It was a wonderful opportunity returning to my old school and seeing some of my old teachers and friends. I think the Habs Maths Outreach programme is an excellent idea.”
“It was nice to give something back to my old school that I wasn’t lucky enough to be able to experience during my time there. Mrs Harte really does something special for the children and it was so encouraging to see them actively taking part and enjoying every moment of the morning.”
