The boys were issued with a sketchbook each and worked with great enthusiasm and success during the trip, drawing favourable comment from other visitors and staff in the galleries.
During the evening briefings, prizes were awarded for the days sketching and photography across a range of themes including ‘Urban viewpoints’, ‘Textures and patterns’ and ‘Flora and fauna’.
Those who won awards included; Noah Max and Nikhil Patel (Y11), Salman Dhalla and Jacob Trup (Y10), Yousuf Hussain, Josh Warner and Hubert Bialek (Y9).
The boys’ behaviour, their enthusiasm and interest were all exemplary and their considerate manner in the hotel was commented on by the hotel manager.
