Inaugural French Junior Poetry Declamation 2019

 

In the final week of the summer term, Ezra (8H), William (8R1), Sahrid (8R2) Raghav (9C2), Scott (9M2), Oliver (9H2) and Francisco (9M1) were selected to go through to the final of the inaugural French Junior Poetry Declamation by their French teachers following knock-out rounds in their sets.

 

Boys from Year 8 performed Le Cancre by Jacques Prévert whilst boys from Year 9 performed L’heure du crime by Maurice Carême. They were judged on their pronunciation, intonation, expression and oration.

 

Congratulations to William (8R1) and Raghav (9C2) who were chosen as winners by our panel of judges Monsieur Thompson (Head of MFL), Monsieur Bardou (Head of French) and Madame Boutchich (French Assistant).
