Last Tuesday, the annual InterHouse art and drawing competition took place in the Old Refectory. Participants were set the challenge of drawing all (or a section) of the artistic themed installation in a specifically chosen material.
Year 7 were asked to complete a pencil study of the still life, Year 8 were set the task of a biro study with mark-making, and finally Year 9 were challenged to do an A3 study in chalk and charcoal.
The boys rose beautifully to the challenge and staff could also hear a pin drop during the event, as all the artists were deeply engrossed in their creative works.
The Art Department have been exceptionally impressed with the skill demonstrated by the participants. Congratulations to all who took part!
