Junior House Drama

The Junior House Drama competition took place in the evening on Wednesday the 28th of January. The theme of the competition was ‘Ages of Man’, based on Hesiod’s poetry. Each house devised and wrote a ten minute play inspired by the characteristics and themes of their allocated age, the tone ranging from tragic to comic.

The quality of the performances was very high and the adjudicator, Daniel Fraser, had difficulty deciding the winners of the various awards. In the end the awards were as follows: 

Best Director(s) – Joshua Baumring-Gledhill (Meadows)

Best Actor (Runner-Up(s)) – Ronit Anand (Meadows)/Kushal Sangani (Hendersons)

Best Actor(s) – Ishan Gandhi (Meadows)/Jamie Jarvis (Meadows)

Best Play (2nd Runner-Up) – Calverts

Best Play (Runner-Up) – Hendersons

Best Play – Meadows

Special Award – Ray Kenton (Calverts)
