Medieval Bows and Arrows

Kevin Hicks from ‘History Squad’ visited Habs on Sunday 14 May and drew in a crowd of 200. We learnt that the common Medieval man wore the same pair of shoes until he was fifty and that the price of a sword would equate to the cost of a four bedroom home today.

We enjoyed lots of battle tales, the highlight was seeing, and hearing, those arrows flying off with Aldenham House resplendent in the background.

A wonderful occasion which we shall be repeating .
