Twelve students took part in the Paris Model United Nations, organised by the American School in Paris at the Headquarters of UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation). Over three days of committee caucuses and debates, in which Habs delegates representing Latvia, Cote D’Ivoire and Guatemala helped to construct and pass a series of resolutions on issues ranging from the establishment of new Millennium Goals, the disposal of radioactive waste and protectionism in LEDCs to combating the Ebola pandemic in West Africa.

In doing so, a number of our delegates distinguished themselves and received Best Delegate Awards for their contributions. These Included Ali Kermalli, Ariel Cohen, Jordan Bernstein, Arsalan Kamal and Thomas Kyriacou. Tom Glinnal, Zach Lewis, Noah Austin and Jake Gilbey also received special mentions.

Although there are no delegation awards at PAMUN, very occasionally the conference organisers recognise the achievement of a single school for its exceptional contribution to the conference. We were particularly proud that this year, despite our delayed arrival, we were accorded this distinction.
