On Monday 25 April, Stephen Pollard visited the School to speak to the Politics Society and Jewish Society. Stephen Pollard is Editor of the Jewish Chronicle, and a regular contributor to The Sun and The Times. He is also a public supporter of a ‘Brexit’.

Stephen Pollard spoke at lunch to a wide mix of both students and teachers, on the ‘How the News is Made’. He talked about his experiences of journalism and the life of a newspaper editor. This was followed by an enthusiastic Question and Answer session, with topics ranging from the media’s coverage of Israel to the future of the newspaper industry and the digital age.

The speech was a fantastic opportunity for pupils and staff alike, and was a thoughtful insight into the world of journalism, media and the news. It was enjoyed by all those present, and the Politics Society and Jewish Society would like to thank Stephen Pollard for coming to speak to us.
