Habs students attended their second MUN conference of the year at Royal Russell School in South Croydon from 19 to 22 October.

There were 17 Habs students who went and participated by representing Kazakhstan, Russia and the DR Congo. The students made friends with students from across Europe and the USA.

The pupils enjoyed supporting their nations’ points of view. Of particular mention was the resolution proposed by George for DR Congo on the topic of Israel-Palestine, which was passed in front of all delegates at the General Assembly.

Many students won individual awards, and the Habs Russia delegation won one of 3 outstanding delegation awards. Special mention must also go to Veylan and Aarnav who performed brilliantly at the talent show.

We now look forward to further conferences, and our own HabsMUN in March. A huge thanks to Miss Edgell and Mr Cooper who took us along and supported and encouraged us.

The participating students were Francisco (Year 10), Aarush (Year 10), Oscar (Year 11), Ayur (Year 11), Aarnav (Year 11), George (Year 11), Veylan (Year 11), Jonny (Year 11), Jatin (Year 11), Lucas (Year 11), Sean (L6), George (L6), Jasper (U6), Sam (U6), Zuhayr (U6), Ed (U6) and Krish (U6).
