Aadil Khan, Upper Sixth, was nominated for the Diana Award by one of his colleagues at The Youth Project Foundation, a charity with which Aadil has worked since its founding in 2014 to help make it into the international organisation that it is today.
The Diana Award is an award scheme which was created in memory of Princess Diana, who strongly believed that young people have the power to make a change in the world. It awards young people who have contributed to making a positive difference to the lives of others with a certificate signed by the Prime Minister and the opportunity to receive this award at a special awards ceremony.
The Youth Project Foundation, found in nine countries with over 1,400 members carrying out various projects and fundraising events, aims to provide equal opportunities to all young people around the world regardless of their circumstances, eliminate stereotypes on the youth (similar to an aim of the Diana Award) and to create a sustainable global platform where more privileged young people can empower each other to make social change.
Aadil was specifically nominated for his work as Chief Communications Officer, a very time consuming role that involves leading a large proportion of our members in the UK in various projects and making key decisions about the organisation’s future ventures. The School is immensely proud and would like to congratulate Aadil on his tremendous achievement.
