Ahead of the 1 March, the pupils in David’s house celebrated St. David’s Day on Friday 28 February. They enjoyed a lovely lunch of chicken pie with leeks and some boys had the vegetarian option followed by Welsh cakes.

The boys looked at a Welsh harp and learnt some Welsh phrases. The boys found a video of Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, very interesting and some are hoping to visit in the future. We discovered there are 641 castles in Wales and that Welsh is the most common Celtic language that is spoken today.
