Each year a huge amount of effort goes in to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award by the boys and the staff at The Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys’ School.
Whilst some measure the value of the Award by it’s recognition for UCAS and employers, or by the personal development benefits, the Award also has a real social benefit in the number of volunteering hours and a real contribution in many communities.
Each year the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award looks back at the contributions made by youngsters and last year boys from Habs spent over 3000 hours helping communities at a financial value of more than £13,000.
