Last week our U13 tennis team put in an exceptional performance against Sandringham to win the County final, held on the green clay of Queenswood.

Team captain Sam Z (Year 8) produced a masterclass against their no.1 who is ranked near the top in the UK for his age, turning the match around to win 6-4 under extreme pressure. The match featured many high quality baseline exchanges of 20+ shots. He then teamed up with Kaaviyan Pradhaban to narrowly win the key doubles match. There were also big wins for David G and Kian H. The team now look forward to the regional rounds in September.

The U15 team overcame Berkhamsted in the semi-final but after a brave battle they lost in the final to Monkswalk. To finish runners-up in Hertfordshire is a fine achievement for the U15 students, captained maturely by James L (Year 10).
