After three long days of intense robotic competition, our Habs robotics teams preformed remarkably well and even have some silverware coming back from Dallas. The practice and hard work paid off as our Year 9 team Critical Speed won the Create Award in the Science division. Criteria for this award involved: incorporating a creative design solution, a highly creative design process and methodology, ambitious and creative approaches to solving the game challenge. The judges were specifically impressed with Critical Speed’s engineering booklet as it detailed every step of the robot design process.

Our Year 8 team SciClones displayed excellent driving skills over the entire competition and qualified for the Technology divisional finals. Unfortunately, we could not match the high score in the finals and finished 9th overall. A great accomplishment considering this was only SciClones third VEX competition. Fingers crossed next year SciClones can go a step further.

Congratulations to all those involved!
