On Tuesday 26 February, the Politics Society was delighted to invite Sammy Wilson, Member of Parliament for East Antrim and a veteran politician from the Democratic Unionist Party, to the school to talk about Brexit, particularly the issue of the Irish Border. It was a speech which reflected not only political issues around the problem, but the economics behind various solutions to it. He provided a first hand account of the day to day negotiations which surround such a task of leaving the European Union, as well as drawing on his experiences negotiating the Confidence-and-Supply agreement with Theresa May. This was followed by some excellent questions from the floor. Thank you very much to everyone who attended. We hope to bring you equally as engaging talks in the future.
