Volunteers from both the Boys’ and Girls’ School welcomed a large number of local residents to the Senior Citizens’ Tea Party on Sunday 13 December. The Prevett Hall was filled with Christmas decorations to warmly welcome all the guests to an afternoon of quizzes, raffles, carols, bingo and chat.
From the Boys’ School, 20 pupils in Year 11 and 21 from Year 12 came to entertain and serve tea to the senior citizens. The afternoon flowed smoothly and culminated in a final disco where everyone was up on their feet, dancing to all the old albums you can imagine.
Everyone had a fantastic time and left with prizes from the raffle as well as gifts which were handed out at the end. After months of careful planning the afternoon proved to be a tremendous success. A huge well done to all of those involved.
