On the 18th November, twelve Year 10s and 11s went to Warwick University to take part in a Languages ‘taster day’. This included taster sessions for boys who had never studied Italian or Russian before, as well as cultural talks from topics as varied as The French Revolution to Hispanic Culture in Latin America and even included a tour of a new Manet exhibition in the Mead Gallery. The boys had a fabulous time, walking around campus and talking to students to get a feel for what studying languages at university is really like – the staff found it difficult to pry the boys away at the end of the day! Many thanks to Mr Thompson and Mr Haldane for organising and running the trip.
