The School is very excited to welcome Phil Whelans to the Drama department every Wednesday afternoon to run improvisation workshops. Every Year 12 boy will take part in one of these two hour workshops at some point during the term.
Our young men will develop their skills of active listening, acceptance, taking risks, collaboration and flexible, creative thinking – all those key 21C skills seen, increasingly, as vital by universities and employers. Invaluable preparation for interviews and your future – in the work place and in life! The boys have really enjoyed their sessions so far.
Phil Whelans is a comedy writer, actor, director and improviser and has extensive experience of teaching improvisation in drama schools and in corporate settings.
