Year 5 Mystery Skype

On Monday 7 March Year 5 played ‘Mystery Skype’ with a sixth grade class from Colligate School, New York city. They had no idea where the boys were playing from, although the accents and the clothes were a clue. The game was similar to ’20 questions’, but the boys were very intelligent and used the problem solving technique ‘divide and conquer’ to narrow down the school to Manhattan. The first question had to be “are you in the northern hemisphere?”

This was a first for the Prep School, but after this success, we will try this with other year groups. Year 5 were enthusiastic about a joint project, perhaps in Geography before Easter.
