Mr Michael Broadwith, our new Assistant Head, Head of Sixth Form and Mr Peter Martin-Brown, Deputy Head of Sixth Form are looking forward to welcoming students into our Sixth Form.
This year was a recording-breaking year for our A Level results – 46% of all A Levels awarded were at grade A*, once again making this the most commonly achieved grade. 79% of all A Levels awarded were at grades A*-A and an impressive 65% of all students achieved 3 or more A* or As. This led to our students taking up some of the most competitive and prestigious courses at worldwide universities such as NYU, McGill, UCLA, and 23 taking up places at Oxbridge.
When you join our Sixth Form, all students take the Habs Diploma. From September 2025 we are pleased to announce that we have introduced the EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) into the Habs Diploma. This enables Sixth Form students to choose between the EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) or ERP (Extended Research Project) as part of their Habs Diploma.
Sixth Formers will be taught at least one of their A Level subjects in a co-educational class. Our co-educational classes in both the Girls’ School and Boys’ School have excelled across their academic disciplines, demonstrating the ‘best of both worlds’ for our students. Subjects taught in the Boys’ School that achieved more than 80% of grades at A* or A include: DT, English Literature, Computer Science, Further Maths, Geography, Philosophy, Religious Education and Spanish and similarly subjects taught in the Girls’ School that achieved more than 80% of grades at A* or A include: Art, Classical Civilisation, DT, English Literature, Further Maths, History, Music, Politics and Spanish. A remarkable 89% of grades in Further Maths were awarded an A*.
