In the October half term 8 boys from Year 12 and 13 Spanish classes participated in a study trip to the Spanish university town of Salamanca. The trip was led by Ms Adams Head of Spanish and accompanied by our Spanish Language Assistant Oscar Garcia Rochera. Whilst there we enjoyed learning about Spanish culture, history and language, as well as visiting the beautiful town of Salamanca itself, thanks to the long and fascinating history it possesses. On top of this, we took part in excursions elsewhere, such as the Roman town of Segovia, with its historic aqueduct and Alcázar, and Madrid, getting to see the infamous Picasso painting ‘Guernica’. There was also a cookery class and a dance class!
All in all it was a fantastic week, with a great mixture of learning, exploration and cultural immersion.
