Yet GCSE Results Day is about more than examination outcomes alone.
It is a celebration of students who have developed confidence, maturity and independence throughout their time at Habs.
It is a recognition of the progress they have made, both inside and outside the classroom.
Throughout their school career, students have developed the Habs Habits that enable them to thrive in academic study, leadership roles and wider life.
The next step
For most students, today’s results represent the gateway to Sixth Form.
In Sixth Form, students will pursue subjects they are passionate about while continuing to develop through the Habs Diploma, leadership opportunities, co-curricular activities and independent research.
The transition into Sixth Form marks an exciting stage of greater independence, deeper academic exploration and preparation for future pathways.
Students will benefit from co-educational teaching opportunities across both schools, expanded subject choices and exceptional pastoral support.
Looking forward
We are proud of everything the Class of 2026 has achieved, but even more excited by what lies ahead.
The qualities that have contributed to their success today will continue to serve them well as they begin the next chapter of their Habs journey.
The Habs Diploma
Alongside their academic achievements, students will have the opportunity to participate in the Habs Diploma as they progress into Sixth Form, a programme designed to extend learning beyond the classroom and help develop the knowledge, skills and habits that support success throughout life.
Through leadership, service, enrichment, innovation and independent research, students will be encouraged to broaden their horizons, deepen their understanding of the world around them and explore their interests in greater depth.
As part of the Diploma, students will also have the opportunity to undertake either the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) or the Extended Research Project (ERP), further developing the intellectual curiosity, critical thinking and independent enquiry that are highly valued by universities and employers.
