On Wednesday 17th June, 102 Year 10 Geography pupils and 7 staff made the annual trip to Cambridge as preparation for their Paper 4 Alternative to coursework exam next year.

The day involved numerous investigative tasks; including land use surveys, housing classification, environmental quality surveys and the old favourite questionnaires. Real life application of geographical theory and seeing concepts taught in the class room at first hand continues to be an integral part of the geography syllabus.

The weather was kind and allowed the pupils to see Cambridge in its full glory and gave them an opportunity to explore the city in which many will hope to study in a few years’ time. All the boys conducted themselves superbly throughout the day and many thanks to Mrs Lemoine, Mr Cooper, Mr Bown, Mr Keenleyside and Mr Lloyd-Williams for their time and support in running the successful trip.
