Habs Golfers are up and running with a first ever win over Haileybury by a 3-0 scoreline at Hadley Wood Golf Club on Thursday 2nd October.

Match 1 saw Jack Myers and Devin Chandegra go ahead with a win on the opening hole, and eventually closed out their match with a comfortable 5&4 win as Chandegra chipped in for a par on the par 5 14th hole.

The overall result was very much in doubt, however, as the middle match involving Joel Citron and Joey Charles was all square with 4 to play, while the bottom match featuring Joe Gale and Karan Khushal saw the Habs pair 2 holes down on their opponents.

Joey Charles holed a tricky putt on the final green to secure a 1 up win, making the overall match safe, and the icing on the cake was that the final pair won three of the last four holes to turn their match around to a 1 up win, completing the clean sweep.

The Hadley Wood course was in excellent condition and suited the Habs players, who now look forward to another home match against either St Columbas or Berkhamsted in round 2.
