A London reunion of OHs, who transitioned with the School on its relocation from Westbere Road in 1961, took place on Thursday 16th April 2015.
Why ‘Removal Men’? Well, Tom Taylor, the Headmaster, had called for senior school help with the mammoth move during the summer holidays of 1961 and many, to his delight, answered that call. Open trucks and removal wagons of all sizes were employed at the time and fifth and sixth formers accompanied the professional workforce to the green pastures of Elstree.
This reunion has been growing steadily over the years and all are welcome. Although some are local a few travelled from further afield such as Dorset and Devon, such is the desire to meet up again with faces from over fifty years ago. The chosen venue, The Ambassadors Bloomsbury Hotel on Upper Woburn Place, was once again the splendid choice as their hospitality is always so much appreciated.
