The traditional summer UCAS Conference began this year on June 10th with The Personal Statement Workshop. Dr Mike Sewell of Selwyn College, Cambridge and Director of Admissions for the Cambridge Colleges returned to Habs to explain the importance of the personal statement. Boys then attended a subject specific personal statement workshop with their Applications Adviser.

At the June 11th Interview Workshop we welcomed Amanda Reuben of Bijou Recruitment who instructed the Lower 6th as to interview etiquette.  Simon Jones of Thomas Pink gave advice regarding presentation and the boys enjoyed learning how to iron a shirt, care for their clothes and shoes, tie appropriate tie knots and how to master a bow tie.  Steve Watts of Homerton College, Cambridge and Chair of The Cambridge University Admissions Forum then delivered a presentation regarding the university interview, at which many questions were asked.
