Tickets are on sale from Aldenham House for the Senior School play. Beyond that distant line is a new play, which has been commissioned specifically for the School – collaborating as part of a devising process with writer Andrew Muir and composer Tristan Parkes to create the show from scratch! Inspired and influenced by true stories and the companies’ experiences and imaginations, this is a an exciting and ambitious approach to theatre making.
On his way to school, Lee Grant notices a jacket washed up on the beach. He puts it on. He looks around. There’s a girl he’s never seen before balancing on the sea wall. There are clothes everywhere along the shore. Where have they come from? Who did they belong to? What happens to them now? Beyond that distant line is a play about growing up in a small town with the only hope, getting out. It is a play that digs deep into the heart of what it’s like to be seventeen and a bit lost, with only the horizon a constant.
The students have put in a huge amount of work to create this show and have been pushed way out of their comfort zones so please do come and support them!
