Year 1 Trip to the National Gallery

The Year 1 boys had a very inspirational day out and a wonderful time exploring The National Gallery.  The boys enjoyed a themed tour on Myths and Legends and explored the ways in which artists have told stories through paintings.  Highlights were visiting ‘Surprised’ by Henri Rousseau, ‘Bathers at Asnieres’ by George Seurat and ‘George and the Dragon’ by Paolo Uccello.  In the afternoon Year 1 enjoyed a picnic lunch in Trafalgar Square and took in the impressive views of Nelson’s Column, the fountains, Big Ben and the London Eye.
