The U16 team competed in the Trio National Finals at Fenton Manor in Stoke. The team was made up of three Year 9 boys (all competing two years out of age) Chris (9C2), Jobe (9S2) and Sudais (9H1) competed on individual floor, vault and group floor.
Despite competing against boys two years older they held their nerve under pressure to fsecure silver medals.
Sudais nailed his vault, outscoring the others despite attempting a lower tariff vault. Chris was very clean with his solo floor performance as he completed a routine with high levels of precision. Jobe’s work generally asked more as he challenged himself a little more, including a well executed Russian Lever.
As a trio the boys worked well in unison and seemingly impressed the judges despite giving up one or two years on other competing teams.
The School would like to thank Mr McIntosh who accompanied the team and to Mr Kerry for organising the trip.
