At the end of the Spring Term students from Year 12 participated in Geography fieldwork on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. This 3-day trip is a highlight of their course, allowing them to visit Britain’s first natural UNESCO World Heritage Site. Work undertaken included beach profiling, assessing flood risk and investigating coastal conflicts.

A further benefit was to prepare students for their Independent Investigation, a new feature of the reformed A-Levels. The weather was fantastic and students behaved impeccably. A thank you to Mr Baird, Miss McGrath, Mr Bown, Mrs Fielden, Mr Taberner and Mr Cooper.
