On Saturday 4 March, Habs sent three teams to play in the Schools Cup for Bridge in Loughborough. Our A team (James, Rufus, Marco and Zack) were looking to retain the trophy they won last year. They won the qualifier for the semi finals. Our B team (Nikhil, Alex, Rohun and Rafi) came third, thereby also qualifying. The A team lost to Loughborough in the semi finals, but the B team beat Eton in the other semi final to reach the final.

The final ended in a draw for the first time as far as anyone knows, so extra boards had to be played to decide the winner. Habs won those and won the Schools Cup. This is the 11th win in the last 14 years for Habs.

Well done to James, Rufus, Marco and Zack for getting to the semi finals and congratulations, Nikhil, Alex, Rohun and Rafi!
