The Habs community will be pleased to learn that William Aldred (OH 2014) won the Hertfordshire Golf Union County Championship at Moor Park Golf club recently. Former winners of the trophy include a certain Nick Faldo in 1975, along with many other players who have gone on to make their way in the professional ranks.

William qualified in 8th place on Friday 3 June from the 36 hole strokeplay competition from a field of 60 competitors. On Saturday 4 June he won his 1st round knockout match defeating Alex Collman (West Herts) 5&4, after which he advanced to the semi-finals by beating Khush Patel (Hadley Wood) 2 up.
On Sunday 5 June, William fought his way through to the final with a 4&3 victory over Jordan Lawrence (Sandy Lodge). The final itself saw William face Oliver Ross from Ashridge Golf Club, and William eventually ran out to win by a margin of 3&2.
William is currently studying at the University of Califormia (Berkeley) in San Francisco.
